[opensuse-ppc] opensuse 11 net install ppc not booting
Hi I am installing opensuse ppc 11 on a IBM Pseries P630. When I boot I get the following text: Welcome to yaboot version 10.1.22-r1034.SuSE booted from '/pci@400000000110/ide@3,1/disk@0:1,\suseboot\yaboot.ibm' Enter "help" to get some basic usage information boot: install textmode=1 Please wait, loading kernel... Allocated 01100000 bytes for executable @ 03a00000 Read failed: 00bfc000/00f2e44e boot: I hope you can help me to boot this, so I can kick off the network install. There is a bug in yaboot, it does not handle short reads. Try to either boot yaboot via tftp or from the local disk if you have already a Linux system installed. Copy the files yaboot.ibm, inst64 and yaboot.cnf from DVD1/suseboot/ to the tftp directory, and rename yaboot.cnf to yaboot.conf. Then boot yaboot.ibm via tftp. Or copy yaboot.ibm to your 0x41 PReP boot partition, and inst64 to your harddisk. Then add a new entry to lilo.conf or yaboot.conf and boot from local disk.
