[opensuse-ppc] Unable to boot setup CD on IBM JS20 Blade
Has anyone tried booting the Open Suse Alpha CD on an IBM Power PC JS20
Blade system. It appears that is does not work using the default
firmware (Global Firmware) included with IBM systems.
Here is what happens:

Actually those messages are coming from the redhat yaboot loader on the system. Since the prep partition is large. Nevermind that... this looks like it is not a problem with Open Suse ... but a problem with JS20 blades with Open Firmware. Reading more into this there are some old documents saying where they could not get "boot cdrom" to actually work and they ended up just booting from the network. Thanks. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-ppc+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-ppc+help@opensuse.org
