Hi,
fyi, a Motorola PowerStack Series E (604 based) will install fine with 7.0
if the boot script is modified. The original boot script hangs when
calling "hwclock" to set up the CMOS clock because the option for MTX
architectures is not passed.
By adding "Series E" as recognition string to use the same hwclock command
line as for MTX boards, a PowerStack Series E will work. The space needs
to be escaped with a backslash.
Yast apparently also calls hwclock if you want to set the timezone but I
have no clue on how to change that to use the option for MTX.
I do not know if 7.1 supports a "Series E" already.
Now I only need to get that old Logitech mouse working for X and I am up
and running ... hopefully. Yast2 doesn't seem to know about series 9 mouse
protocol. gpm supports it, though.
What protocol type do you need? Can you try to edit /etc/XF86config
manually?
