[suse-ppc] Installing SLES9/PPC on a Genesi Pegasos box

-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hi, (giving it one more try - sorry for the repost) I was thinking if it would be possible to install SLES9 for PPC on such a beast: http://www.pegasosppc.com/ It has an OpenFirmware BIOS and I currently run Debian 3.1 on it. The CPU is a 1GHz G4 (MPC7447): processor : 0 cpu : 7447/7457, altivec supported clock : 999MHz revision : 1.1 (pvr 8002 0101) bogomips : 665.60 machine : CHRP Pegasos2 This is the output of lspci: 0000:00:00.0 Host bridge: Marvell Technology Group Ltd. Does SLES9 happen to boot on that one? Any input would be appreciated - let me know if you need further info. Thanks in advance! Hi,

You can probably install sles9 ok on it. But a new kernel (2.6.12+) and a bootloader with enough workarounds for the brokenfirmware is needed. I dont have neither of it at the moment.
