PB G4 Kernel crashing into OF at startup
Dear all, I tried to compile the BenH kernel tree since 2.4.6 (last kernel I sucessfully installed) on my PB G4 with a SuSE PPC 7.1 installation. It actually did compile fine but always crashes into OpenFirmware after having installed the kernel into /boot/ directory and also having adapted the /etc/yaboot.conf script (in conjunction with ybin install utility). Error message on white screen: ... ok copying OF device tree... DEFAULT CATCH!, code=300 at %SRR0: 014106ac %SRR1: 00003030 ok 0 > After that I am not able to boot further into any OS, I have to restart the maschine manually. Do you have an idea what is going wrong? Is there any special trick for the kernel configuration? I have to note that I sucessfully installed Olaf's 2.4.12 Kernel (the one with '-elf' in the filename).
