I am COMPLETELY hosed now. I rebooted after a kernel update and planned to work through the process of configuring the boot drive (not knowing it would be the PReP drive or the fat drive - partitions actually). Unfortunately, SMS doesn't acknowledge there even being drives in the system. If I boot to the original install CD it will mount / - but initially only in read-only and it tells me there are all kinds of filesystem issues. IT says I need to run reiserfsck --rebuild-tree (think it was). I'm afraid to do that for obvious reasons. It WILL mount / - and to do so I use /dev/md0 so I have to assume it is seeing the raid (software mirroring). I've tried following the various instructions for configuring a boot partition but mount won't mount either sda1 (PReP partion), stating its an unkown file system, or sda2 (linux native - 83 - at least that's what fdisk reports though I thought it was fat)...?? ANYONE got an idea of what to do next? I've already got too much time in what's on those drives and I can't afford to lose them... I also can't seem to find an easy way to get it moved off now.
