Installing suseppc7.1 on harddisk connected to acard 6260m

Hi, is there anyone out there, who can help me installing suseppc 7.1 on my machine? Umax S900 G4 Upgrade 450mhz Acard Controller 6260M harddisk 1. IDE channel Mater If i boot to Linux installer (Old World, i use Bootx), ther was no harddisk found (all partitions have benn made previosly under MacOS). Is there a easyer way to get Linux installed than install it first on scsi harddisk, than compile the Kernel, reboot, copy all to the Partitions on Ide harddisk, change fstab, .... .
