Bonjour, First I am not a fan of iMac & Co but it is the only thing I have at work and I installed an efficient O.S. (for network applications, not for games and graphical apps of courses). I just installed SuSE 7.1 on a iMac (blue transparent? with CDwriter). Installation went very smoothly, thanks SuSE I have just a small problem: unsufficient Mac keyboard. I can't use the <backspace> key. When I hit it, it acts as <del>. How can I solve the problem? The same with the other keys: <home>, <Page Up>, <Page Down>, <end> Just for info, I had some problem to install my network card. The install CD detected it OK and installed tge right kernel modile (gcat something). Problem: I could not configure the ehernet interface with Yast1 or Yast2. I did it then the shortest way: # ifconfig eth0 <my_ip_addresse> netmask 255.255.255.0 up # route add default gw <my_router_address> ... and it worked immediately. Thus, the console-way is often the shortest. Thanks -- Alain Barthélemy Section de Biosécurité et Biotechnologie Institut de Santé Publique R. Juliette Wytsman, 14 B-1050 Bruxelles
