[opensuse-packaging] I need help with library naming conventions.
Hi, I have a package containing /usr/lib64/libcsound64.so.6.0 and: SONAME libcsound64.so.6.0 from what I can gather it's package should be called "libcsound64-6_0" but rpmlint doesn't like it. Do I have to put an underscore between the 6 and the 4? I'd go with your right and rpmlint is wrong, rpmlint doesn't always get stuff like this right, my guess is its presuming that 64 is the package version and it wants libsound-64-6_0 -- Simon Lees (Simotek) http://simotek.net Emergency Update Team keybase.io/simotek SUSE Linux Adelaide Australia, UTC+10:30 GPG Fingerprint: 5B87 DB9D 88DC F606 E489 CEC5 0922 C246 02F0 014B -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-packaging+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-packaging+owner@opensuse.org

Actually I'd made the subpackage a while back, it was wip and I'd named libcsound64-6_0 libcsnd64-6_0 by mistake. Thanks Dave -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-packaging+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-packaging+owner@opensuse.org

rpmlint should also tell you the name that it likes, doesn't it? Andreas.
That name gave me the clue about my mistake. Thanks Dave -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-packaging+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-packaging+owner@opensuse.org
