[opensuse-packaging] Packaging PEAR modules
Hi, I'm going to update some PEAR packages from server:php:applications . Do we have a better way of defining dependencies other than inspecting the bundled package.xml and then updating the spec file? The Packaging PHP page [1] is silent on this topic. I know we a nice gem2rpm helper for Ruby packages and something similar for PEAR modules would be quite nice. No. And often we cannot blindly follow package.xml anyway, at least for 3rd party channels. Often, from a distribution perspective, what the package states as "required" is optional or the other way around.

I started something like this, but stopped when I noticed it wouldn't help that much. There is a Horde_Pear library which helps parsing pear xml if you want to automate the lookup process. -- Ralf Lang Linux Consultant / Developer Tel.: +49-170-6381563 Mail: lang@b1-systems.de B1 Systems GmbH Osterfeldstraße 7 / 85088 Vohburg / http://www.b1-systems.de GF: Ralph Dehner / Unternehmenssitz: Vohburg / AG: Ingolstadt,HRB 3537 -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-packaging+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-packaging+owner@opensuse.org
