[opensuse-packaging] Recent packages cleanup removed necessary packages
For example, just yesterday I installed springlobby, a lobby client for Spring engine from a home repo. Today this repository is deleted and there is no working spring lobby client in OBS any more. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-packaging+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-packaging+owner@opensuse.org

If I understand correctly, this would not have happened with packages in devel repos. -- Ralf Lang Linux Consultant / Developer Tel.: +49-170-6381563 Mail: lang@b1-systems.de B1 Systems GmbH Osterfeldstraße 7 / 85088 Vohburg / http://www.b1-systems.de GF: Ralph Dehner / Unternehmenssitz: Vohburg / AG: Ingolstadt,HRB 3537 -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-packaging+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-packaging+owner@opensuse.org

The packager did not submit it to games repository. It was built in a home repo for years. I planned to submit it to the games repo myself, but now it is impossible. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-packaging+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-packaging+owner@opensuse.org
Mail the dude, ask him to do a undelete (osc undelete some:repo/package) and then get it... otherwise redo the work from scratch. No dia 23 de Março de 2012 21:11, Ilya Chernykh <anixxsus@gmail.com> escreveu:

I wouldn't know... but if you know of other packages that are maintained in home repos it's maybe a good idea to email those people and ask them if they wouldn't be interested in maintaining them in more suitable repos for the distribution users. Some devel projects are quite easy going and people respond fast to open requests. The games repository is a good example of that... and it does help more people to get enrolled. Like I said, try emailing the man, he should know :)

The criteria was no source code change in a year for home projects. Two years for devel projects. Note that it was handled at the project level, not the package level. So having a project where nothing in the project was updated for a year causes the clean-up script to assume the project is no longer maintained. A few of my projects were on the delete list and they were indeed old, so I deleted them manually. Greg -- Sent from my Android phone with K-9 Mail. This cannot be the case, I installed springlobby-0.87 from there which was released after this New Year. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-packaging+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-packaging+owner@opensuse.org

Since you do not name the project, I can not tell. But you can check with osc log -D $project -- Adrian Schroeter SUSE Linux Products GmbH email: adrian@suse.de -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-packaging+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-packaging+owner@opensuse.org
