Hi,
the package blobbyvolley is available to grep by a new packager. Anyone interested?
Best wishes, Holgi

Holgi,
do you have some more information? Is it somehow related to blobby2 (which is also a volley ball game) which is already in the games repo?

I do not have much information about it since it is a package of a former team member. My guess is that blobby2 is the successor of blobbyvolley.

We have both packages in "games" repository and both are maintained there.

OK, so may I assign bugs to you?

Or to me works too. I think Pavol is busy enough with other things.

I just noticed that both blobby2 and blobbyvolley might be the same game. Dominique, if this is true feel free to merge them into blobby package (that's the upstream name used in SF) and drop blobby2+blobbyvolley. Thanks!

Pavol,
at least our package 'blobbyvolley' is wrong. It is indeed the same game (just slightly earlier version). Header from README in blobbyvolley: ============================================================== ====================Blobby Volley 2 README==================== =============The head-to-head multiplayer ball game=========== ============================================================== =================http://blobby.sourceforge.net================ ==============================================================
From the website:
Official name: Blobby Volley 2 site: http://sourceforge.net/projects/blobby
As such, I think renaming blobby2 to blobby, and dropping blobby volley, would be the way to go (as you suggested). I'll take care of this and will also make sure that any way of updating between the different used names will work (hopefully) I already checked blobby2 (which is version 0.6a) and the same error is in there anyhow.

The rename to blobby is actually even questionable: the original tarball to be downloaded is called blobby2

I've checked some other distributions:
Fedora - blobby Mandriva - blobby Arch - blobby2 Gentoo - blobby2 Debian - blobby2
I don't have strong opinion about this, but other RPM distributions are using blobby without 2, so I would probably pick this one. But it's your call.
