[opensuse-packaging] My osc won't authenticate
Hi, everyone, I just installed osc on openSUSE 10.3; the first run asked me for my username/password, so I gave it what I use for the openSUSE wiki and bugzilla.novell.com. However, it doesn't want to authenticate :( I turned on http_debug in the config file. Attached is what osc prints. Does anyone know what may be wrong? [I just built my first package with the build service's web interface --- it's *really* nice!] Thanks in advance, Federico

Frederico, well, did you already request from Novell that your user shall be activated for the BuildService? Can you login from the webinterface? Try to request your username on the appropriate mailinglist (opensuse-buildservice). Huh, I didn't ask for any activation. However, I can log into the web interface just fine and build packages there.
Try to request your username on the appropriate mailinglist (opensuse-buildservice).
Thanks, I'll try that :) Federico --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-packaging+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-packaging+help@opensuse.org

Cool!

Frederico,

No need for that anymore - if you can build via web, you should be able to build with osc. There's no special manual activation needed anymore. Nevertheless, the opensuse-buildservice mailing list would be the one to help here. We had problems with proxies in between in the past. try to unset Can you make a bugreport for this in any case and attach the output of "osc -H ..." ? Be warned, your password will be visible in the output. bye adrian -- Adrian Schroeter SUSE LINUX Products GmbH, GF: Markus Rex, HRB 16746 (AG Nürnberg) email: adrian@suse.de --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-packaging+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-packaging+help@opensuse.org

Never mind, it seems that osc works now, after I've changed my password. I swear it was correct before, but who knows :) Federico --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-packaging+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-packaging+help@opensuse.org
