It is not just a matter of restoring init scripts, currently you will need to "fork" gnome, kde, udev, most of the base system..
Yes, I noticed a lot of effort has been taken to make life of those who want to use System V init harder. And unfortunately more than seldom without actually helping those using systemd... which makes me sad.
