Ah, that could be it. He should have been using UTF-8 for that file.
Hmm, replacing that "ł" with just an "l" doesn't help, unfortunately.
I still get:

Hi, easiest is to export the LANG variable and not dig any further as sometimes people simply use weird characters in the setup.py or its includes ;) Mostly used is: export LANG="en_US.UTF8" Cheers Tom
