I would say 99% of what is needed is Java and Flash, that you already have, and multimedia. For multimedia Packman has most the plugins: vlc-mozillaplugin, xine-browser-plugin, mplayerplug-in and gecko-mediaplayer. The main openSUSE repo also has totem-plugin. YMP URLs can be obtained from http://packages.opensuse-community.org... but I have my doubts these YMPs are persistent (the same about http://software.opensuse.org/search).
The YMPs I'm currently using should be "supported" I've been told. I hope that's the case. I agree that many interesting plugins are not in Factory but for example in packman. I need to ask there for "stable" YMPs and the data for popular plugins. Thanks for the gecko-mediaplayer information.
Then there is also moonlight-plugin with MIME type application/x-silverlight. The version from Packman links against libavcodec, not sure about what the openSUSE version can do... neither I'm sure we can force an specific version to be installed with just an YMP.
I tend to point to the most complete package even if it's from packman. Wolfgang -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-packaging+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-packaging+help@opensuse.org
