I was afraid, I needed packages for avr32 toolchain.
I'd suggest to create a fresh project CrossToolchain:avr32 for this. The namespace CrossToolchain:avr implies 8bit only. avr32 is a different beast, and should not hide in a subproject of 8bitters.
