[opensuse-packaging] Package builds fine locally and fails on almost all targets on OBS

Hi, I just submitted a new version of the apache2-mod_pagespeed package to Apache:Modules [1]. Currently the build fails for all targets except for Apache_openSUSE_12.1 x86_64 . The error ( for instance Apache_openSUSE_12.1 i586 [2] ) points to a missing file - net/instaweb/http/http.proto: File not found. The file exists in the archive and I've double-checked that the build passes locally for me for both openSUSE_12.2 i586 and x86_64 . One peculiar thing about this package is that the tarball is quite large , 354M . Is that something which might trigger errors? If not, where should I start looking for the cause of the failure? [opensuse-packaging] Ruby is driving me nutty......

Hi, A quick recap, in https://build.opensuse.org/project/show?project=Cloud%3AOpenNebula I link to a bunch of ruby packages from d:l:r:e. Most of these failed and I finally got everything building again, by locally commenting out the rdoc BuildRequires. This IMHO should not be necessary and shows that we have some kind of issue with ruby packaging, but that's another discussion. With everything building I figured install should work as well, but it doesn't. When I try to install the opennebula package which through the dependency chain pull ins rubygem-sinatra I get the message: Nothing provides rubygem(1.9.1:rack) >= 1.3.6 needed by rubygem-sinatra I have linked rubygem-rack from d:l:r:e and thus rubygem-sinatra should depend on the rubygem-rack package from the openNebula repo. rubygem-rack built successfully. Therefore, adding Cloud:OpenNebula as a repo should be sufiicient, but it is not. The spec file for sinatra also does not have an explicit "Requires:..." for rubygem-rack for version 1.3.6 or greater. Clearly frustrated by all of this and hope I am not producing too much noise between the detailed data. Help is appreciated. [opensuse-packaging] How to supply a tgz instead of a tar.gz to obs (debian) ?

However, the debian packaging process does not seem to accept tgz files as tar.gz files and the osc service localrun source_validator does complain when I have a tarball which is not mentioned in the spec file but in the debian control file. [opensuse-packaging] RPM build error - directories not owned by a package - /etc/modprobe.d

Package installs file into /etc/modprobe.d. This results in error [ 37s] dkms-2.2.0.3-9.1.noarch.rpm: directories not owned by a package: [ 37s] - /etc/modprobe.d I am not sure why - am I supposed to own every intermediate directory? Hi, Anyone know what happened to rubygem-datamapper? It used to be in d:l:ruby:extensions but it appears to have disappeared at some point. I still have a link to it that is failing. Of course I never got any notification that the package was removed an no notification about the failure. Help is, as always appreciated. [opensuse-packaging] _link / rubygem help needed

Hi, Somehow I always end up in a state where the rubygems I link to are busted and I suspect I am just missing something due to a lack of understanding. Thus I hope someone can enlighten me :) For example I link to rubygem-addressable in d:l:ruby:extensions from Cloud:OpenNebula. In d:l:ruby:extensions the package build just fine while I have "unresolvable" errors in Cloud:OpenNebula.
