Specs on your SuSE version, box and version of xine? I'm playing the Matrix fine on my athlon 2400+, 2 meg ram, SuSE 9.0 with mplayer 0.92 -- Until later, Geoffrey Registered Linux User #108567 Building secure systems in spite of Microsoft

Yep, it's not that difficult. Turn on dma for the dvd drive. It's in Yast, Hardware, IDE DMA Mode. The DVD drive should be listed, just turn on the dma. You don't have to worry about "is it dma16 or X or Y are udma or what?" Just turn on the dma and you should be good to go. You might have to re init/start the system, but then again maybe not - I can't remember. HTH, Curtis. - -- Spammers Beware: Tresspassers will be shot, survivors will be shot again!
