[opensuse-mobile] suse 10.1 final - Fn keys does not work under KDE - why

Hi, does anybody know, why does Fn keys does not work under suse? I have acer travel mate 2410 series.. e.g. muting is enabled only via defining a short cut, in my case win M, standard Fn mute does not work Fn sleep also does not work.. (it only beeps, but no suspend to ram occurs) Thanks

Well. They do for me on a Panasonic Toughbook CF-51. The answer is probably: it depends on your hardware. So first try to find out what kind of event your keys deliver: - switch to console 1 - log in as root - type "showkey" - now type all your fn-combinations and look if they generate a key event. - do not touch the keyboard for 10 seconds to terminate showkey. If this does not give a result, try "acpi_listen" and again try if your fn-combos trigger ACPI events. acpi_listen is terminated by ctrl-C. If you get some output from the above, report back here.
