Sucees Story with hp-nx9005 and Suse 9.1/9.2 and another little wish....
Hello all, just thought to tell you what is the status with my notebook hp nx 9005 ( AMD Athlon XP-M 2000+ / 1.67 GHz, Graphics Controller ATI RADEON IGP320M), In short It all almost work! 1. Sleep: with the help of Stefan Sayfried who kindly provided the new powersave package for 9.1. Suspend to disk works like a charm. As long as ati-agp is black listed, which means no 3D acceleration ;-( 2. The 3D works, (of course with out sleep enabled, and ati-agp un-blacked...) I installed the X.org 6.8.1 rpms from the supplamentary packages, aswell as sax2, and it works in 9.1! It just so sweet. but then How can I get 3D and also suspend to work? If agp is loaded, and suspend is triggered the machine goes down, but freezes on up. I red once about some bug in the kernel somewhere ( I am not kernel expert); http://article.gmane.org/gmane.linux.kernel/199869/match Anyone knows why it is not incorporated into the kernek yet, or how can I apply it? Thanks, Keep the good work Suse!
