meine Erfahrung ist, das es vom Gehäuse abhängt. Am problemlosesten ging es mit den Gehäusen von datafab.
Dann sollte der usb-treiber für externe Massenspeicher installiert sein, ich glaube mass-storage. Als weiteres muß noch die scsi-ide-emulation, für dieses LAufwerk eingerichtet werden. Dann noch Link erstellen. Dies dürfte es eigentlich schon gewesen sein.

Hi, I've got an Asustek notebook LK8420, and on it I installed suse 8.0 prof with kde 3.0. But this leads me to a problem: in Kde 3.0 it's not possible to see the battery usage, sothat my machine switches off without any previous advice, how can I solve this matter? Thanks a lot Luigi D'Amato

maybe your notebook doesn't support apm. Klaptop is just made for apm. Perhaps your notebook uses ACPI, like my one. Then you have to patch your kernel to get the battery-info.
