I got irriteted searching and trying different WLAN and Bluetooth products, without success. Maybe this list could help.
I need following WLAN-features: - important: good support under linux ideally with open source drivers directy from the vendor. - important: good support for network analysis (kismet, airsnort and so on) - important: support for an external antenna - ideally support for 2.4GHz and 5 GHz bands, but the 5GHz isn't much important - support for 11MBps, 54Mbps (if possible on both bands 2.4GHz and 5GHz) - if available in Europe/Germany, even if not allowed a 200mW Card
For Bluetooth I need following features: - good support under linux/debian, ideally with open source driver of the vendor - Class1 (100m) if available

in der c't Nr. 25 (S.158, Bluetooth: USB-Adapter mit großer Reichweite) war ein Artikel dazu drin: Fazit: Blue-Fritz!2.0 von AVM läuft Digitus Class 1 von digitus läuft - steht aber nur in der Anleitung und nicht auf der Verpackung MDU0005USB von LevelOne (Baugleich mit digitus) läuft Connect2Air Bluetoot USB Dongle von Fujitsu-Siemens läuft - auch wenn der Hersteller das nicht verrät
