[opensuse-marketing] People of openSUSE?
Hi all, Caught this on the Fedora planet: http://yanstadel.blogspot.com/2009/03/face-of-fedora.html "As i wrote in my introduction-mail at the marketing mailing-list, my wish is to establish something like People of openSUSE in Fedora. This means to publish every month an interview with a person wich contributes to the Fedora Project." Would be a shame if they spin up a feature based on People of openSUSE, and we're no longer doing it... Indeed it would be. I am hoping to finally pull a finger out and have the video interviews I took of several community members (granted they're all employees, but community members none the less) on openSUSE TV by the end of the week. Could this be counted as part of People Of openSUSE? I don't see why not. Maybe Carlos feels differently. Hi Joe, Carlos handed me the flag, and I'm about to send out first emails asking for interview. I just posted article announcing restart. -- Regards, Rajko -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-marketing+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-marketing+help@opensuse.org

That's right. Welcome aboard! All: for my experience, doing this job alone could become a little tedious after a while so if anyone also wants to jump in and Rajko wants some company, too, let us know whenever you are available. -- Regards, Carlos Goncalves -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-marketing+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-marketing+help@opensuse.org

Sure I want more people working on it. Any help from 1 minute a day, to give a name and contact info, to dedication to People of openSUSE is welcome. Giving ideas who should be interviewed is the biggest deal for me right now. Taking how much work is to have all under control, your tempo of 1 interview per week was really good. -- Regards, Rajko -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-marketing+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-marketing+help@opensuse.org

No, I would even consider it as a feature++ ;-) -- Regards, Carlos Goncalves -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-marketing+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-marketing+help@opensuse.org

I offer to do the captioning for videos, if and when they are made.

I let my imagination fly. Videos in pro environment with a little external noise, just as sound decoration, steady camera focused on person answering general questions that don't need illustration, few well played illustrations of work (even if that is just computer screen), walk outside to illustrate city, etc. Yes, that would require a dedicated team with ideas, but in a mid term we should be able to do this. That will take much more time, but good presetation is better then any presentation, and any presentation is better then none. -- Regards, Rajko -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-marketing+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-marketing+help@opensuse.org

Can we have people-of-opensuse@opensuse.org as a public email address for all members of the team. Currently its only me, and hopefully Carlos. I hope that he will want to keep close eye on articles. -- Regards, Rajko -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-marketing+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-marketing+help@opensuse.org
