Note - I do not object to sending News items to the -marketing list (though I'm not speaking for Jan-Simon), but it's possible to add items to the weekly news issues directly if you have a wiki account. Just go to the future issue's page like so: http://en.opensuse.org/OpenSUSE_Weekly_News/50 That's the next issue's page, but basically: http://en.opensuse.org/OpenSUSE_Weekly_News/XX Where XX is +1 from the last published issue number. If you have a wiki account, you can just edit it directly which should make life easier for the weekly news folks. Feel free to add a link or create the entire post for the info. The editors like to have all material in by Tuesday at 16:00 UTC.
