[opensuse-marketing] openSUSE @ Perspektive Open Source / Systems 2008
Hi, [I am writing this mail as Free Software Community Manager of LinuxTag e.V. not as SUSE employee.] Like before there will be an area called 'Perspektive Open Source' (short POS) at Systems [1] dedicated to Open Source and Free Software. The event will take place October 21st-24th in Munich awaiting about 40.000 trade visitors. [2] Messe München decided to hand over the selection of free and open source projects for this area to LinuxTag e.V. Therefore I am asking the openSUSE marketing team if the openSUSE project is interesting in getting a small demonstration point within POS. Messe München and LinuxTag e.V. offer free of charge * one demo point for a laptop and a large poster * power supply * internet connection therefore we await * a fully staffed demo point during all visitor hours * well prepared demonstration concept * no advertising for commercial products and services (except a small adequate mention of sponsors) Cheers, Marko [1] http://systems.de/ [2] http://systems.de/link/en/19255006 -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-marketing+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-marketing+help@opensuse.org

Sounds like an interesting opportunity to show the openSUSE flag in southern Germany as well. - Does anybody visited last year's 'Perspektive Open Source' and can give us feedback how it was (quality and quantity of visitors, type of visitors, exhibitors etc.) - Do we know which other projects will participate? If we come to the conlusion that it is a good thing to participate there I'm fully supportive to the event. We should be able to send someone from Nürnberg and appreciate any volunteers joining us in staffing the booth.
