Hi Manu! It seems your mail got stuck in my spam for some reason, don't know why, but I've read it. To avoid further issues I made a filter for this mailing list and a separate category, so this type of problem shouldn't occur anymore. So, to get back on topic :). Yes, sure, I'd love to help, and let's say I'm therefore sending my official application. To whom should I send my SUSE SSO information, so they can connect my account also to news.o.o.? Because upon trying to login, I got this message:
You do not have access to the administration page.
Error: Unauthorized Account
Anyway, I also have one more question. Since this is the first time I'm truly active on a mailing list, I need to know a couple of things. When I send a mail to marketing@opensuse.org f.ex., when i get a response, it's usually from a personal mail of that mailing list user (in this case Henne & Manu). So, when i respond to those mails, should I remove those personal mails, so you don't receive duplicates, and send to personal mail only when I discuss something private, or do I continue sending 'reply all' messages. Thanks in advance.
So, as the geeko says, have a lot of fun guys!

Hi!
So, i went through the documentation, and i think i understand the goals and the workflow.
I'm cc-ing the news team to let them know i'm at their disposal. How do you think it would be a good idea for me to start?
We really do not have any rules, by the time you get our wordpress account on news.opensuse.org, you can start writing and sending us articles, we will push it through. Additionally, we have the openSUSE Conference next month, so they might use your help :)
Henne is an active participant there, so he might be able to guide you well.
Cheers
Much obliged!

It sounds exactly like it's up my alley :D I'll read through the documentation, and get back to you all before evening. In the meantime, if you have any ideas, or need anything done that i can do, don't hesitate and hit me up :)
Thanks again!

Wonderful, welcome! We can always use people that know how to express all the great things we do :-)
As I'm very fond of the openSUSE project, seeing it as the most balanced distro project out there in every way, and considering I'm not a geek and don't know how to code or anything, I'm looking for some other ways to help out.
How about the news team? Seem to be right up your alley!

Note that the Social Media Dance part there is serious. You're expected to dance in your office/apartment. If not, the underwear GNOMEs (those from the desktop) will see it and steal your cookies. BE VERY AFRAID!
I would suggest you read over that page to get an idea of how we work.
Welcome and hugs, Jos
But Jos, how can I monitor for press interviews and feedbacks while dancing? Or the only proper way to dance is Macarena (or SUSArena), since i face forward most of the time :D ?
:)
Anyway, thanks for the help, and a warm welcome everyone. I'll send a mail to Henne with my SSO information to get this sorted out, and hit you up on IRC for further instructions on what to do.
Thanks again, you guys are the best!
