Hi folks,
Tomorrow, we launch the openSUSE Summit website and we'll have a twitter feed in the website. Problem is, we haven't come up with an acceptable hashtag to use for the Summit. Ideas on a good, short hashtag would be appreciated.
Here's some that I have thought of, but frankly, not very workable because either a) it is too long or b) it is too common with other hashtag:
#ossummit #ossummit12 #osummit #summit12 #oss12
Thoughts, folks?

Hmm... I like it. It has the unintended result of when you pronounce it it sounds like "awesome." Let's use this if no one else comes up with a better solution by end of the day today.

Short is good, but dropping the 12 might not be great. People who read hashtags instantly know if there's a number after it, it signifies an event.

After googling other previous hashtags I would prefer #ossumm
No confussion with other hashtags and keeping simple, maintain the spirit (awesome) and usable for future years next events

I would agree to that. But since it will be used for future events. I think having a number is better idea. Just to be organised and keep track of things :)

I'm not very familiar with twitter. I guess hashtag is set for someone to recognize what is all about, a meaning. Also must be short because we're lazy to write long words.
oss also mean open source software for someone who uses open source software. opensusesummit is also too long for hashtag. Just summit, there can be also desktop summit.
Maybe one S must be capital (from SUSE)
Right now I don't have something to propose. I guess I'll have something by tomorrow. Have phun...

It's too long and it gives branding to SUSE which we try hard to separate the perception of SUSE and openSUSE. But the intention is well appreciated.
