[opensuse-marketing] presentation slides updated
Heya all, The openSUSE presentation slides have been updated with the openSUSE 12.1 artwork. If you want to give a presentation about openSUSE, find slides & a template you can use here: https://gitorious.org/opensuse-artwork/opensuse-artwork/trees/master/slides You probably will have to 'clone' the repository to your hard drive because gitorious does not let you download files bigger than 2 MB. You can do that by installing git (zypper in git) and running the following command in a newly created directory: git clone git://gitorious.org/opensuse-artwork/opensuse-artwork.git opensuse-artwork cd opensuse-artwork/slides Please note that the slides have 'notes' which help you with what to talk about when showing the slides. There is a new slide deck about openQA, our upcoming 1.0 automated testing framework (see openqa.opensuse.org). openQA will be released next week, Tuesday! If you have any suggestions for changes or improvements to the slides, please let me know. I can also upload translated slides so please send those to me! I will keep working on these and regularly update them. Help is appreciated! Greetings, Jos
Something's not right. Downloaded the ODP, Attempted to open with Libreoffice Impress, All I see is the HTML source for the GIT branch page. Could be me, but I doubt it... Tony On Fri, Oct 7, 2011 at 4:54 AM, Jos Poortvliet <jos@opensuse.org> wrote:

Hey Tony, The same happened to me. One way to resolve this is to download the entire artwork collection. On the right hand side you will see a button to press and it will compile a tarball and let you know when it's ready. Then you can just download it and the presentation folder will be there and it's contents will open with impress. The ones I have tried, at least, and that was 4-5 of them. Hope that helps ;-) Gregory

Thanks Jos! I can't wait for 12.1 not least because maybe the nVidia card might perform better.. always prefer the second release after a new laptop is delivered :) Damn I am tired at the moment lol, I have added openSUSE to a chain of local sweet shops and I am just adding all the products into LemonPOS manually because it has no import function. Back to Poland on Friday to complete the registration process so I can launch the Balsam Professional / openSUSE Promotion. -- Kind Regards Stuart Tanner Director Bolton Linux 24 Vincent Street Heaton Bolton BL1 4SA Tel: 44-(0)1204-410474 Mob: 44-(0)7846-675707 -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-marketing+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-marketing+owner@opensuse.org
