[opensuse-marketing] Release Party for 11.2
Dear all, The openSUSE community over here in the Malaysian capital of Kuala Lumpur will be having a Release Party on Dec 5th at APIIT (http://www.apiit.edu.my). So far we have nailed down the place and date but am unsure what activities can be held. Can anyone here suggests something? So far Novell Malaysia has agreed to provide some sponsorship and I am wondering is there a format that is adopted by all openSUSE ambassadors and/or communities for Release Party? I would appreciate some assistance in this. Talking in front of a huge crowd is not a problem but I am quite bad in organising get togethers. Thanks. There is no general format. What's usually done is to show openSUSE 11.2 in action, help people installing openSUSE 11.2, giving a presentation about changes or new stuff in 11.2. What always is highly appreciated by people is media. So, if possible burn a bunch of openSUSE 11.2 DVDs or CDs.

We have some information on the wiki here:
http://en.opensuse.org/Marketing/Resources#Launch_Party_HOWTO
Other openSUSE Ambassadors are encouraged to fill that out more!
