Looks great. We should definitely save this as one of our wallpapers to download. Only suggestion: I think alignment is a little off... the I is too far away and the I should be in Fifth Leg. I stole from your idea and created another one that I think could be used for t-shirts or stickers too. http://www.bryen.com/images/ILoveGeeko.png. This is just rough thing and I think it needs alignment too. Maybe for both of our designs, we should figure out a nice background too. Here is a white version: http://www.bryen.com/images/ILoveGeeko-white.png But I still wouldn't use my versions. They're just rough sample ideas. I'd rather an artist who can line it all up perfectly to be used as official artwork. This is just me copy/pasting. And I can see my objects are not proportional. Great for Stickers, Car Bumper Stickers, Laptop Stickers, T-Shirts, Posters, Wallpapers, etc.... I love both concepts. The Black one and the White one. Needs some polish and make it available for Wiki at Marketing Materials or Artworks. So can it help to spread the voice with A Lot of Fun ! This is brilliant, Manu. Love it to bits. Haha, when I clicked on the link, the page loaded slowly with I..... heart....... opensuse one after the other, like an animated marqee. Can you send me the sources, I'll see if I can tweak the alignment if needed. I prefer your black background. Really nice, simple and effective, I'd wear this on a T-Shirt. best, Helen On Sun, Feb 6, 2011 at 3:40 AM, Manu Gupta <manugupt1@gmail.com> wrote:

I am thinking - maybe simplify it by having just the geeko and not the openSUSE text? That would probably look even better - the I and heart are simple, it is a bit unbalanced now!

ok in a geek-rich environment but not in the wider world. Most people I know would think it meant I was a reptile lover. I think it's cool the way it is. "don't let perfect be the enemy of good" cheers Helen

He, good quote. Ok, so, we should get this either in Git or on the wiki (or both) and we can create a poster or t-shirts out of it... :D
cheers Helen

Jos, I know this is the wrong e-mail, but what ever happen to the poster for the magazine? I haven't heard anything else on it. -- ----------------------------------------- Discover it! Enjoy it! Jos mentioned he'd pushed the date for it back and we'd finish it at the hackfest. I've copied the content into a word document unformatted so that it can be recreated in Scribus (since that tool makes it easy to align things and so on) and will be convenient for future edits. I may get onto it before the Hackfest, just busy getting things squared away with work before then. cheers Helen
