I will look into the details you have sent me. I am a college going student, so, let me check the workload out first. Translating the entire newsletter alone can be quite a big task. I will certainly try and finish creating the basic template in a couple of days.

We've created a tool to make translating a bit easier:

predefined strings (e.g. headings or static content) into the desired language. The strings are prepared in a simple .ini-File.

6) First steps ================

You could grab the Newsletter template (see http://en.opensuse.org/OpenSUSE_Weekly_News/Translations) and start creating an localized template. Next step could be the .ini-File for the Translation-tool. This can easily be done if you compair the English template with your newly created localized template. Then you can grab the latest released issue and start translating.
