Here is a little translation how-to: 1.Get Inkscape if you don't have it yet: zypper in inkscape 2. Get the file you want to translate from GitHub: - go to https://github.com/openSUSE/artwork/tree/master/posters/ - navigate to the 'openSUSE is cool' folder - click on one of the svg files you want to translate - click on 'raw' to download it 3. Open the file and customize the text by double-clicking it and typing. 4. Once done, save the file and email it to me 5. tap yourself on the back for a great job! You have provided your fellow country-men with a nice, translated folder about openSUSE! I hope it is a clear explanation, if I was not clear enough please let me know. We already have a volunteer translating the flyer in Spanish, thanks Manuel Trujillo! /Jos On 04.11.2011 Jos wrote:
Heya all,
I've just finished updating the posters we made last year at SCALE in the USA. They are ready for translation and I can then print a bunch in time for the openSUSE 12.1 release parties!
Who's up for translating them? download the svg files at the link below, translate them (open in Inkscape, edit the text) and mail them back to me...
I will try to get at least Spanish (in the USA and Brazil and Spain), Portugese (Brazil), Chinese (Taiwan/China) and a few European languages (German, French, more?) printed. Of course IF they are translated :D
Find the posters here: https://github.com/openSUSE/artwork/tree/master/posters/openSUSE%20is %20cool%20posters

I made the light ones new but can't really decide if they look better or not. I DO know the light ones will be easier to print, the normal ones can be problematic in that regard due to the heavy use of black which makes the paper wet and soft... We will have to see with the printers which ones they can print.
We do kind'a need to get this translated before Wednesday so we can start printing...
Thanks in advance!
Cheers, Jos
