A little report from the Launch Party in Chemnitz.
First we had a little problem. 2 of our speakers was sick, thx the boosters team was an replacement for Will Stephenson found. Many thx to Michal Hrušecký for help us in Chemnitz and travelling from Prague. But he wasnt not the only who travelled a long distance. Many of the guests travelled a long distance. We had guests from Dresden, Grimma or Wittenberg (that are 170km) here. I talked to this guy and he said that was the nearest party for him, he said next would be Mexico City. With this declaraion I know he looked in earlier times on the wiki page. We had Stefan Majewski from KDE as guest and some other guys was developers to. For this we had not really talks prepared.
I think about a solution for the next party to interest them again and get them maybe more involved in the openSUSE project.
In summary we had 3 talks here, round 30 guests (think there have some guests not found us), we had a cake with geeko and a cake with yastie, many interesting conversations in the coffee breaks. For the social event we was ina house brewery 50 meters from the event location and we enjoyed the band (I can say one of the musicians uses openSUSE) there and conversations.
I shoot some photos and uploaded them to flickr, fb and added them to the groups.
Maybe there is one who can write a little report because my blog isnt aggregated and I write in german too.
