[opensuse-marketing] banner for cheap

It's a very good addon when building a boot to have a banner. You can find an example here (including photos of the actual banner) - the banner is printed on heavy material, the one made specially for banners and with eyelets. You have to give a pdf ith the good L/l ratio: http://dodin.org/opensuse/artwork/ there are both jpg and svg (source) to allow localisation. In France, I ordered from: art2creation(a)hotmail.fr the cost of one banner, 200x40 centimeters, including all costs (package and delivery) is *23* euros which I find extremely cheap. Just a note: the above e-mail is said to be from France, but the delivery is from "Farra Company, Aleppo, Syria" (that may be a problem for some people). What we need is: - Larger posters (suitable for putting on a media tripod) - perhaps ANSI C or ANSI D sized. These would have some basic info about FOSS software (WHY you'd want to use it, WHAT it does for you, WHERE to get it, etc.) Maybe 2-3 with varied info on them. - Some handouts with more detailed info on them. Either 8 1/2 x 11, or larger if it's in trifold format. Note - all of the info should be focused on desktop use. This is a desktop users' conference :-) Feel free to use color if you like. Although it's way more expensive to print, it will be better received and I actually have a real printing budget for SWCC this year :-) Whatever you come up with I can have printed locally, so we don't have to worry about shipping anything. Digital formats would be fine (I assume PDF, but anything format Kinko's can handle will work). And, whatever you come up with, I'll need by about May 30th, so I have time to get it all printed and collated, if necessary. Thanks for whatever you can do for us! One thing that keeps people from adopting Linux is the problem of websites being designed using MS only technologies, or that block non MS browsers or OSes. A frustration for me was often the lack of content in the wiki. I think we should have a sprint to fill in or migrate a large amount of articles in the wiki. Friends and clients often bemoan forum trawling to try and find solutions (Ubuntu users). Wondering if openSUSE has an online ads, similar to Google Adsense (banners, etc) Aside from my personal preference to further provide openSUSE exposure deploying standardized images that send people directly to openSUSE, I'd sure like to deploy something other than the largely monopolistic Google Adsense that has bought up all the competition is sight. Hi all, Next monday we still have time to print a cool poster for LinuxTag. So we need to decide on a theme sunday. As you've seen in the mail to -project, we have a conference location. I am putting information on the wiki right now (Klaas, didn't you promise to do that? I need to keep beating on you, don't I?). So, what should we do? Just say - most like RWX^3 so let's go ahead with the poster stuff??? Or does anyone have a better idea based on the information on the location we have (see project ml)?
