Kubeadm init can not pull the images via proxy server which is configured through /etc/sysconfig/proxy While it knows that a proxy is set because it says that the own IP and the container network is going through a proxy and explicitly warns about that it will still not pull the kubernetes container with cri-o. I had additionally to con.figure the environment in /etc/sysconfig/crio which is loaded by crio.service. Then the Images could be pulled correctly.
