It's not likely to take months. A kernel package with the fix is already in Kernel:openSUSE-15.2 OBS project and x86_64 KotD packages at http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/Kernel:/openSUSE-15.2/standard/ are published (other architectures will take a bit more time). I plan to submit a 15.2 maintenance update tomorrow or on Monday. I cannot predict how long it will take before it gets to the update repository but a week or two seems to be a reasonable estimate.
