[opensuse-kernel] RT and high priority tasks on system resume

Hi: I was just wondering if the following is expected behaviour from the kernel perspective. On resume from suspend to ram, tasks that were previously RT or very high priority such as those controlled by rtkit and pulseaudio appear running and fine but no longer with the priority that were previously assigned. Is this a limitation/bug in the kernel or something to deal in userspace ? Thanks. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kernel+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-kernel+owner@opensuse.org

Sounds like a bug. Which kernel are you using?

Userspace shouldn't even notice that s2ram has happened.
Thanks.

What are you using to suspend? Does the same happen if suspend by echo mem > /sys/power/state? -- Michal Hocko SUSE Labs -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kernel+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-kernel+owner@opensuse.org

Hrmm.. I just tried again the regular way (pressing "suspend" in the kde menu) and cannot reproduce... that strange, saw it countless of times previously. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-kernel+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-kernel+owner@opensuse.org
