Comment # 33 on bug 1195313 from Filip Kadlec

Thanks a lot, I managed to install the newer kernel now, and it works! I have
noticed that several issues have been removed with this.

1. missing interaction between Plasma and the wireless card.
2. login screen did not start. Plasma had to be launched manually via startx.
3. This (startx) only worked for the superuser.

Everything seems to work, I just wonder what is the future meaningful way /
frequency of updating the repositories. Can it happen that some hardware has
not yet support in the latest released packages which would cause some problems
again?
