s-m-t has "Recommends: dracut". The comments says +# Use weak dependencies for mkinitrd and kmod in order to +# keep Ring0 lean. In normal deployments, these packages +# will be available anyway. This goes back to a discussion between dimstar and myself in 2019. I suppose this constraint can be removed now, because s-m-t is no longer part of Ring 0.
