i can reproduce the problem running a desktop over a NFS mounted home directory (sec=krb5p,nfsvers=4.1) with the kernel 5.3.18-lp152.47.2. With the former kernel .3.18-lp152.44.1 a desktop with started applications (e.g. firefox) don't show I/O errors and is running fine.
