Interesting. This reminded me on another report about the suspend on Thinkpad T14s Gen 2, and the workaround to use "Windows" instead of "Linux" on BIOS setup was mentioned there, too (bsc#1207279). I suppose that the recent kernel works better with S2idle instead of S3, and BIOS setup influences on that.
