Out of curiosity, has the package u-boot-rpiarm64 been patched? I was under the impression that the rpi3 and rpi4 u-boot packages were replaced by the single u-boot-rpiarm64 package. The rpiarm64 package is the one the installer and the prebuilt images are using when they boot. When you use the installer, by default it installs u-boot-rpiarm64 instead of either the rpi3 or rpi4 versions.
