I can't promise anything but there might be a time window during this weekend
when I might be in possession of my current laptop, another one that has an
Intel GPU where I'll also install OpenSUSE, *and* the problematic ASUS monitor.

If there are a couple of easy commands that you can instruct me to run on both
computers and paste the output here that could allow you do do the comparison,
if it's something quick I might be able to do that. Again, no promises.
