Ok, so right now it looks like Wi-Fi chip itself is ok, but you don't have 'connection', right? I am not a 'wicked' expert, but the following configuration looks suspicious. To me WIRELESS_MODE looks incorrect. If you want to connect to WI-Fi Access Point it should be 'managed', which is the default.
