Did you install alsa-plugins-pulse package? Just to be sure. Recently we noticed that pipewire got installed along with Firefox update, and this changes the default ALSA device setup. If alsa-plugins-pulse is installed and PULSEAUDIO_ENABLE=yes set in /etc/sysconfig/sound, it should override to PA as expected, but otherwise it can cause a problem. And, if it's really a kernel regression, do you get the system working properly when you boot with the older kernel? In that case, please upload the alsa-info.sh outputs on both working and non-working cases. Run the script with --no-upload option, and use attachments.
