One notable metric I have overlooked before is a high number of isolated pages. We are talking about increase in range of 900k pages per second. That would likely explain the high CPU utilization. If the khugepaged was busy mostly isolating pages and not making anything with them this would surely burn a lot of CPU time. Anyway something for Vlastimil to rummage through.
