Could you verify whether a slightly older 5.14.x kernel (e.g. 5.14.11) found in
TW history repo also shows the problem or not?

There have been a few reports about type-C regressions on the recent 5.14.x,
typically found on 5.14.15, and I wonder whether this is one of such.
