I don't understand this report at all. Comment 45 of the very same bug says we
have a patch which is also included in kernel 5.8.

It says:
bsc#1156053 - hardened_usercopy=off to avoid "/dev/hvc0: cannot get controlling
tty: Operation not permitted" (Kernel memory overwrite attempt detected to SLUB
object - illegal operation)

which comes from bootloader_s390.pm if get_var('WORKAROUND_BUGS') =~
'bsc1156047'.

I fail to see the failure. What failure are you talking about?
