But it has been fixed in the amdgpu-pro driver packages recently to remove the /lib/firmware/amdgpu/ during uninstallation of the amdgpu pro driver. My guess is that you would need to rebuild the amdgpu-pro kernel module or reinstall all amdgpu pro driver packages after each kernel update. I still don't know anyone using these driver (packages) successfully ... I only see issues with this driver ...
